Keshav is currently a Senior Writer at NewsBTC and has been associated with the site since June 14, 2021.
Keshav has been writing for many years, first as a hobbyist and then as a freelance writer. He has experience working in a variety of fields, even fiction at one point, but the cryptocurrency industry has been the one he has been associated with the longest.
In terms of formal educational qualifications, Keshav holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from one of India’s premier institutes, the University of Delhi. He began his studies with the aim of eventually building a career in physics, but the advent of Covid led to a change in plans. The virus meant that his undergraduate classes had to be conducted online, but with that came free time for him to explore another passion.
Initially, Keshav was just trying to make some money selling beer, but suddenly, he managed to attract clients who offered him real projects, and after that he had no choice but to look back. Writing was something he had always enjoyed, and being able to do it for a living was a dream come true.
Keshav finished his physics degree in 2022 and has been focusing on his writing career ever since, but that doesn’t mean his passion for physics is over. He eventually plans to return to university to pursue a master’s degree in the same field, but perhaps only to satisfy his personal interest and not to use it as a means to find work.
Keshav has found blockchain technology and its concepts fascinating since he started delving into the field in 2020. Chain analysis in particular was something he loved to research more, which is why his articles at NewsBTC tend to involve it in some form.
Being from a scientific background, Keshav likes concepts to be clear and consistent, so he generally explains the indicators he is talking about in more detail so that readers can perhaps come away having understood and learned something new.
As for hobbies, Keshav is fond of football, anime, and video games. He enjoys football not only as a spectator, but also as a player. As for gaming, Keshav generally tends to enjoy single-player adventures, with EA FC (formerly FIFA) being the only game he plays online. However, perhaps due to his intense focus on the game, he has now become a semi-professional player in the EA FC scene, regularly participating in tournaments and sometimes even winning prize money.
Enthusiastic about anime and gaming, he taught himself Japanese in the process to consume some of the untranslated gems out there. The skill didn’t remain just a hobby, though, as he put it to productive use while looking for small jobs at the start of Covid, doing two jobs translating from Japanese to English.
Keshav is also keen on fitness, with agility and acceleration exercises forming a big part of his programme given their importance in football. Additionally, he also has a traditional strength-based programme in the gym, which he does to maintain his overall fitness level.
