Public goods security work
ETH Rangers provide stipends to support individuals who dedicate time to working on public goods security efforts within the Ethereum ecosystem. Over a period of six months, participants will be selected to each receive $25,000.
What type of work is considered public goods security work?
Public goods security work includes efforts to enhance the security and resiliency of the Ethereum ecosystem. This can include activities such as vulnerability research, creating educational materials, incident handling or free audits, or developing tools and frameworks that benefit the community. The goal is to support projects and individuals dedicated to securing the Ethereum infrastructure and promoting a robust, trustless environment for everyone.
Can I apply if I currently work in public goods security?
Yes, current work in public goods security does not prevent you from applying. We are looking for individuals who can devote a significant amount of time to enhancing Ethereum’s public goods security, whether as employees or freelancers.
Applications are now open at ETHRangers.comIt will remain open until December 20 when the selection process begins.
Important dates
- November 21, 2024: Wave-1 applications open.
- December 31, 2024: Deadline for Wave-1 applications.
- January 20, 2025: Recipients selected.
- July 20, 2025: Final work reports are due, followed by the payment of the remaining salary.
