A Bitcoin whale has donated 8.07 BTC to cover $520,000 in travel expenses owed by recently released WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.

The crypto community’s support for Assange stems in part from his support for Bitcoin during its early stages, with WikiLeaks becoming one of the first organizations to accept Bitcoin in 2011.
Many in the cryptocurrency community believe that WikiLeaks’ acceptance of the leading digital currency was a landmark development that helped pave the way for BTC’s acceptance.
Others in the crypto community also believe that Assange is a hero who leaked classified documents that exposed human rights abuses in the United States.

Members of the cryptocurrency community are trying to uncover who is behind the generous donation made to Assange. Speculation that Andrew Tate is the one behind the Bitcoin deal began to grow after the controversial social media personality commented on the donation in an X post with a gift box emoji.
