The worst performers of the session were Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (BVC:) which fell 4.47% or 500.00 points to trade at 10,680.00 at the close. Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA Preferred (BVC:) fell 3.89% or 920.00 points to close at 22,760.00 and Ecopetrol SA (BVC:) fell 2.40% or 50.00 points to close at 2,035.00.
Declining stocks outpaced advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by a ratio of 0 to 0.
U.S. coffee futures for December delivery rose 1.42%, or $3.45, to $246.35. Elsewhere in commodities trading, U.S. cocoa futures for December delivery rose 1.34%, or $104.00, to $7,854.00, while December gold futures rose 1.27%, or $32.00, to trade at $2,548.70 an ounce.
The USD/COP pair fell 1.24% to 4,024.00, while the BRL/COP pair rose 0.51% to 733.46.
The US dollar index fell 0.82% to 100.57.
