BRUSSELS (Reuters) – European Union antitrust regulators on Tuesday raided a consulting firm in two EU countries over concerns it may have violated EU cartel rules, the European Commission said, following raids on several major tire manufacturers. In January.
The Commission, which acts as the European Union’s competition enforcer, did not mention the name of the consulting firm.
“The Commission is concerned that the consulting company may have facilitated or instigated suspected price coordination between tire manufacturers, which also allegedly used public communication channels to collude,” the European Commission said in a statement.
