Mark Goffman and Jessica Turner Join Team Azuki
In a blog post on August 27, Azuki’s creator Chiru Labs confirmed, via the Azuki X account (formerly known as Twitter), the hiring of two prominent Hollywood stars, Mark Goffman and Jessica Turner. Mark and Jessica will support Azuki’s entertainment division and create a multi-year roadmap to bring Azuki to the masses. While welcoming the new experts, Azuki founder Zagabond stated:
“Our original Web3 IPs have proven their ability to attract strong communities with short-form content. While this is ideal for social media, we are ready to take our stories further. As Azuki reaches more and more people, there will be greater opportunities to license and use our IPs. Additionally, we will see more demand for exclusive NFTs that represent our characters and our Azuki Club membership.”
Mark Goffman is a former consulting executive producer in Hollywood, the oldest film industry in Las Vegas, USA, where the oldest film studios and production companies originated. Today, Hollywood is home not only to the film and television industries, but also to a thriving music scene, a thriving theater community, and a growing digital media landscape.
How will Goffman & Turner help the Azuki NFT community?
Mark, who has extensive experience as an executive producer, will help create the Azuki World Book. This foundation will attract the best creators to tell all kinds of stories within the Azuki universe. Earlier this week, Azuki debuted its first animated short with Mizuki (Elemental #9195). This short, social-focused content based on the Azuki universe aims to engage new audiences in the NFT space with moments from the Azuki characters’ stories.

Before summarizing his remarks, Zagabond noted that great IP is vital to creating a sustainable business through marketing and licensing. In this context, Jessica Turner, who has extensive experience developing Harry Potter franchises, will bring significant value. With the new team, Azuki expects the Red Bean and Azuki characters to appear on products around the world.
