The time’s up, the song’s over, and I guess I have something else to say. — home country
It is with no small amount of sadness that I must say goodbye to you. Like the work of The Floyd, in the time I have been involved with Ethereum, I have experienced the full gamut of emotions. From the amazement of meeting so many wonderful people (not least Janie and Wendell) in Miami, in January 2014, to meeting Jeff for the first time in February 2014 for our first real face-to-face collaboration with a client, to traveling across the US in March 2014 and meeting luminaries like Joel and Juan . Then there was the excitement of starting EthDev and building a team with my serial partner Aeron, getting to know the amazing programmers Martin and Roman at DevCon-0 and testing the depths of my thinking with Matt and Tim at Ethash. .
But enough of the past; Endings certainly only beckon with opportunity if you look hard enough, and this is no different. In collaboration with core developers Arkady, Marek, and a host of others (old hands and new faces alike), I’ll be working on Make the dream come true As part of a shiny new project.
I’m afraid to say I’ll be letting my C++ get a little rusty as I explore different approaches to the technology other than the cpp-ethereum core. However, I will do my best to support and guide Bob, Kristoff and others as they move forward to new worlds and provide a little competition for other teams.
The road ahead is definitely bumpy but we know what we have to do and I expect the views to be amazing. Goodbye and thanks to all the fish.
