US President Donald Trump is expected to announce on Friday his intention to nominate Bitcoin-friendly Kevin Warsh as the next Chairman of the Federal Reserve, replacing Jerome Powell, whose term ends in May.
Trump said on Thursday that he would announce on Friday morning his choice to replace current Fed Chairman Jerome Powell, whose term ends in May. BloombergThe Wall Street Journal and New York Times reported that the president is set to announce Wershe’s nomination.
“I’m going to announce, I think, a really great choice tomorrow,” Trump said as he arrived for the premiere of First Lady Melania Trump’s documentary.

Trump continued his attack on Powell, saying that the Fed Chairman should lower interest rates Interest rates.
This also benefits cryptocurrencies, as Warsh holds a more positive view of Bitcoin than Powell, who has consistently dismissed cryptocurrency’s role in the US economy.
