Thousands of restaurants offer hot dogs, but nothing compared to Chicago -based Portlelo. For more than 60 years, hot dogs have served Chicago, Italian beef sandwiches, and homemade chocolate cake.

Although it is a smaller chain compared to competing fast chains, it has grown at an amazing rate. Nobody expected the humble Hot Dog holder, which was built in 1963, from a small trailer to become a famous restaurant chain of 94 sites across nine states.
Portillo introduces the new breakfast list at Chicago’s chosen sites

The restaurant chain launched the first breakfast list ever in April, which includes distinctive pins in the morning that Chicago residents love, including different breakfast sandwiches, cakes of chocolate cake in cooperation with the cakes in Stan, multiple aspects, and handcrafted coffee drinks.
Portilo tests the new breakfast menu in five restaurants in the Chicago area from 6:30 am to 10:30 am, morning shows can be requested at the Niles and Chicago -Written, Shorwood, Emstrites and Tinley Park sites, as mentioned in the web.

The noise on this new revelation left many customers wondering whether the series plans to present the breakfast list throughout the country any time soon.
Their question will be answered after only a few weeks, but the response of the series may not be what many expected.
Portillo’s provides a big update to breakfast
Michael Osanlo, CEO Michael Osanlo, said during the company’s latest profit call that breakfast reactions were positive, but this does not mean that he will be available in all locations at the country level.
Oanlo said that the company will continue to monitor the progress of the breakfast test throughout the summer and collect all the measures necessary to ensure success before it decides whether it will be expanded to other sites.
“There are a lot of restaurant companies that tried to expand breakfast, and have not succeeded. So we have a number of internal standards that will determine success, and I think we want to make them clean and clear as much as possible for us.”
He added that breakfast can be one of the important assets of the company, because it will expand the hours when the sites are open to work, and thus increase sales.
However, there is a great concern with this addition. If it is not dealt with properly, breakfast may lead to damage to lunch preparations, which affects the total processes in the main business of the company.

Oanlo indicated that the successful test does not mean that Portilo will launch the breakfast list at the country level; It will only give it the green light to expand it in Chicago. The restaurant chain will then have to test it outside the Chicago before bringing it to all sites.
Although Portillo has promoted the breakfast list in experimental sites, there are no plans so far in investing in the country’s marketing.
