SEOUL (Reuters) – North Korea and Russia have agreed to provide all available military aid if the other side faces armed aggression, under an agreement signed by the leaders of the two countries, North Korea’s Korean Central News Agency reported on Thursday.
The Korean Central News Agency, citing the agreement, said that the two countries will not sign any treaty with a third country that violates the interests of the other country, nor will they allow their lands to be used by any country to harm the security and sovereignty of the other country.
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and Russian President Vladimir Putin held talks in Pyongyang on Wednesday before announcing the signing of a comprehensive strategic partnership agreement.
On Thursday, KCNA released the full text of the agreement, which also included cooperation in nuclear energy, space exploration, food security and energy.
