DUBLIN (Reuters) – Budget airline Ryanair said on Tuesday it carried a record 19.3 million passengers in June, up 11 percent from a year earlier.
Europe’s largest airline by passenger numbers expects to carry between 198 million and 200 million people during its financial year ending in March 2025, an increase of between 8% and 9% from the previous year.
The Irish airline said in May it would have to keep peak summer airfares flat or modestly higher than last year, rather than the 5% to 10% rise it had expected because of weak consumer sentiment.
Its flight occupancy rate averaged 95% in June, unchanged from the previous year.
Ryanair carried 18.9 million passengers in May, matching its previous monthly record.
