Stelantis ((pressure)) A few years have spent a few years since Fiat Chrysler’s merger with the French PSA group in 2021, but things are about to become more strict for the company, whose shares decreased more than 8 % in trading in the afternoon Thursday, April 3.
How the American brand Chrysler became Stelantis
Chrysler has always been the third stop of the American auto industry, known as colloquial as Big 3. But CHYRER “America” slowly diminished for more than a decade.
Before becoming a part of Stelantis in 2021, Chrysler Fiat Chrysler became a fully Italian car manufacturer FIAT. Chrysler applied bankruptcy in 2009 and waived 20 % to Fiat at the time.
All this change reached his head at the end of 2024 when Carlos Tavares, CEO of Stelantis, announced months after speculation.

The reports soon appeared after he left that there was an internal constant on how Tavares did. The company’s executive officials and employees claimed that Tavares had a European position on business that was not compatible with the American way to work.
The most obvious signs of this separation were revealed during the summer of 2024. Common practices of European workers and executives are to take up to a month during these months; However, since the problems were brewing its operations in the United States, Tavares announced that it would take a vacation during the “summer vacation” that lasted for a month to help reduce the problems at the Earth level in North America.
Stelantis makes a big decision after the definitions
On Thursday, Stelantis, the parent company of Jeep, Dodge, Chryler and RAM, said it temporarily stopped production in cars assembly in Mexico and Canada in response to the definitions.
The Wall Street Journal reported that Stelantis will work unlike its mini -van factory in Windsor, Canada, for a period of two weeks and closed its pocket facility in Toloca, Mexico, for the rest of the month.
These factories produce the Chrysler Passevica Mini Valle and SUVs with the Pocket Book in the United States, the move can also affect factory workers in the United States who make the parts use factories to complete their cars.
This shows the extent of the American auto industry with its neighboring countries.
“With the tariff for the new auto sector now in force, it will take our collective flexibility and discipline at this difficult time.” “But we will quickly adapt to these policy changes and will protect our company, maintain our competition feature, and continue to provide great products to our customers.”
