The Las Vegas Strip has been a top destination for some of the music industry’s biggest stars for decades. Visitors to Sin City today can enjoy a number of superstars performing pop, rock, country, jazz, rhythm and blues, and Broadway shows.
For rock fans, the Grateful Dead’s band Dead & Company performs a residency at Sphere Entertainment’s (SPHR) Ambassador Las Vegas until August 10.
Sphere’s final jam band will be followed by Legendary rock band The Eagles who travel to this amazing venue for 12 shows on September 20, 21, 27 and 28, and November 11, 12, 18, 19, 1, 2, 8 and 9.

Country music fans can catch Carrie Underwood’s “Reflection” residency for six shows in August and six more in October, or Shania Twain’s “Come On Over” residency for 16 shows during August, September, November and December.
Garth Brooks will perform 27 shows during his residency at Plus One beginning June 26 and continuing through July, September, October and December at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
R&B fans can catch the new version of the star singers for nine shows in July, October and November at the Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas or Boyz II Men on August 23, 24, 30 and 31 at The Chelsea at Cosmopolitan Las Vegas.
When it comes to hip-hop and rap, big-name residencies have been rare on the Strip or anywhere else in Vegas. Wu-Tang Clan performed what is considered Sin City’s first hip-hop residency on stage at Virgin Hotels from February 9-10 and March 22-23, 2024.

Bakkt Theater on the Strip at Planet Hollywood lined up a Huge hip hop residency Featuring Ja Rule, Fat Joe, Slick Rick, Doug E. Fresh and DJ Cassidy for a “Pass the Mic Live” residency on July 5, 6, 12, 13, 19 and 20.
And now, the biggest rapper to perform on the Strip to date has an extraordinary stay.
Rapper Lil Wayne is headlining a double residency in Vegas
Superstar rapper Lil Wayne is headlining a rare double residency at rival casinos on the Las Vegas Strip, taking the stage at Caesars Entertainment’s Drai’s Nightclub at The Cromwell beginning June 29 for an 11:30 p.m. show and resuming the residency July 12 at 11 p.m. :30 pm. 10:30pm at Zouk Las Vegas at Genting Resorts Worldwide in Las Vegas. Additional offers have not yet been revealed.

The accommodation structure is the first of its kind for The Cromwell and Resorts World, according to a release from Resorts World.
“We are very excited to welcome Lil Wayne to Zouk Las Vegas,” Joe Lopez, vice president of Zouk, said in a statement. “His dynamic performances and legendary status make him the perfect artist to launch this transformative residency. We look forward to providing an unparalleled nightlife experience for everyone to enjoy from this monumental artist.”
Dustin Drai, President of Drai’s Management Group, is also looking forward to welcoming Lil Wayne back to Drai’s Nightclub. Lil Wayne was recently scheduled to perform on May 4 at the 2024 Lovers & Friends Festival at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds, but the festival was canceled the day before the show due to high winds. Instead, the popular rapper performed a surprise concert on May 4 at Drai’s Nightclub.
“We can’t wait to continue our longstanding relationship with Lil Wayne and bring him back as Dry’s artist-in-residence,” Dry said. “We couldn’t agree with a more dynamic artist to welcome this first residency partnership.”
